On Friday, October 21st, children toured the Friends of the Goodnight Memorial Library's basement stockroom transformed into a scary Spook House. Friends' volunteer, Valerie McGowen, dressed as a witch, read spooky stories. Then volunteer, Irene Grohsmeyer, dressed as Wednesday Addams, led them on a trail past spiders, the Grim Reaper, bats, a creepy gingerbread cottage and other scary delights. Each child received a coupon to be used in the Friend's big book sale. Volunteer, Dee Shneiderman, took pictures of the kids in their costumes to be entered in a costume contest. The winner of the costume contest will be announced Friday, October 28th.
